Grounding Meditation
If you are a psychically sensitive person,
regular grounding using this simple
visualisation exercise can be very helpful in
preventing you taking on too much energy
from those around you and help you to stay
centred.
Some people who are prone to over-eating,
depression or compulsive behaviours are
suffering from the effects of their aura being
too ‘open’ and are inadvertently picking up
other people’s energy. Grounding can help to
keep your auric boundaries in check.
Sit with your feet flat on the floor and place
your hands, palm down, on your knees. See
any excess energy flowing through your
palms, down your legs and out through the
soles of your feet. As the energy extends
from your feet, see it separating and
branching out as the roots of a tree, into the
earth beneath your feet. Allow the energy
roots to grow down and down, into the
earth, as far as feels right. When the roots
have extended as far as seems right, see
them branch out sideways, anchoring you
into the earth.
If you are experiencing the effects of being
ungrounded and too open to the energy and
emotions of those around you, performing
this simple exercise once or twice a day
could really change your life.
